The finished signal itself would be sent by teleprinter with a 60 word per minute send speed. This would mean basically that a 250 word signal would be sent within 40 or 50 seconds. Insufficient time for a shipboard DF unit to get a fix. DF units on mainland Britain would not get the necessary cros...
