I have a really hard time with best or even 10 best list. In this case I haven't seen a bunch of the ones that are among the best. I did really like The Light Horsement and Letters from Iwo Jima . I've also seen a couple of pretty good ACW movies the one based on Killer Angels was quite good as was...

I alway`s thought Eastwood could play a great General Patton, but he`s too old now I think. Plus George C. Scott pretty much nailed that role.

I mean the true story or something close to it, I had 2 brothers there and that`s not it. One of my all-time fav`s though, R.Lee Ermey should have got an Osacar nod.

As good as a made for TV movie will get I guess...a story definately worth re-telling on the big screen.

Saving Pvt. Ryan! Saw it 3 times at the theatre, the surrond sound mixed with the realistic camera shooting made me feel like I was in the middle of the battle`s.
a Bridge Too Far is a close 2nd.
