Re: Malvinas/Falklands war - Alleged attack on HMS Invincibl
There's actually a little more to this. Antrim had worked out where Santa Fe was going to be and deliberately used Mk 11s to disable her. That really should have been an end to it. The Lynx dropped the Mk 46 which would never work against a surfaced sub. It went into 'surface capture' ie its sonar k...

Re: Falklands War - actual attack on HMS Andromeda
Well you may see little of interest but my Argentinian readers don't! There is a whole host of them who are convinced that on the 30 May they either sank or damaged HMS Invincible. As an eye witness and having stated exactly what happened there has been absolutely no attempt to enter into a dialogue...

Re: Falklands War - actual attack on HMS Andromeda
I'm still getting an enormous amount of hits on my blog about this but no one seems to want to talk to me directly - strange.

Re: Falklands War - actual attack on HMS Andromeda
I've just had a hilarious half hour reading the forum link that started the other thread about the alleged attack on HMS Invincible. I don't think I've ever read such blinkered rubbish that ignores every basic established fact. I also find it quite strange how there has only been one reply to this t...

Falklands War - actual attack on HMS Andromeda
Hello everyone, just joined at least in part because of the thread on the alleged Invincible attack. I posted this there some days ago but as its at the end of a long thread and no on had commented, I thought I'd try it here as a new topic. If anyone can definitely answer the question of what really...

Re: Malvinas/Falklands war - Alleged attack on HMS Invincibl
The Invincible was that Far East of the island that the joke at the time was they got the Burma Star and not the South Atlantic Medal. Prince Andrew bring an Exocet decoy was another joke myth of the day. Actually you're wrong. When a missile raid was in process they launched every available aircra...

Re: Malvinas/Falklands war - Alleged attack on HMS Invincibl
Hello everyone, just joined today at least in part because of this thread. If anyone can definitely answer this question it is me because I watched the whole thing. I was the Lynx Pilot from HMS Andromeda. There were three ships on picket duty out to the west of the main task force that day. Avenger...
