Re: Pearl Harbor - all 3 USN carriers are discovered and attacked

The war in the pacific is hell in a hand basket, the Americans struggle and the Brits have to face the Japanese in the pacific, the Nazis in Europe and north Africa along with the Italians in the med alone (until the US rebuilds there fleet) the Empire is pushed to breaking point and possible use of...

Hear me ROAR Lion class vs Bismark class

With both Lion and Tameraire being laid down before the start of hostilities with Germany. The Admiralty decide it would be easier and cheaper to build A lion class instead of building the proposed Vanguard. With Tameraire slightly a head in construction it is chosen to be built. Lion being chosen t...

Re: Top 5 Carriers (classes) of WW2?

For me being British it has to be: 1- HMS Ark royal the first true aircraft carrier of any navy 2- Illustrious class carriers , the armoured decks and hangers meant that you would need one hell of a bomb to sink them 3-Implacable class carriers , bigger versions of the illustrious class carriers and...

Re: Ark Royal class

They are some differences in the timeline thanks to the Admiralty getting the FAA from the RAF. For one the fulmars are built as single seat fighters, two the skua is built as dive bombers and not fighter bombers, three the swordfish is built as is.

The battle of Denmark straight

1935 the Anglo-German naval treaty is signed which allows for Germany to build upto 35% of the RN strength. Would building the twins as aircraft carriers help if so would one go with bismark as part of a carrier battle-group, What would the Brits do in response.

Taranto goes better

If GB builds more carriers in the early 30,s to mid 30,s does the war go better in the med and other fronts due to better carriers and less Battleships.
