I was wondering if it was common for the bigger ships (ones which might carry large numbers of passengers) to sail from London to the US, or if most of the bigger ships left from other ports? Thank you for your help. I'm very glad I asked, I had underestimated by a lot. Were there any types of ship around that time that would have been faster but still be large enough to have a crew of around 30?
