Static Stability Curve of Bismark

I would be grateful if someone in this forum can provide me with the static transversal stability curve of Bismarck (or any other BB of the 1900-1945 period!).

Thanks in advance

In fact, the effectiveness of an AA gun system depends on four factors: 1. The balistics of the gun itself 2. The loading arrangements 3. The mount (basically how fast and how accurately the gun can turn and be elevated) 4. The fire control All in all, the USN had the most effective AA gun systems i...

Karl, Wow, you are putting so many things in your last posting that it is impossible to give even the first idea of an approximation of an answer without saturating this forum and occupying all my available bandwith! Well, seriously, I would like to have the time to discuss several of the things you...

I can scan Brezet's pages dealing with BCs and send them privately to you. Alternatively, as I am living in Paris, I can buy the book and send it to you. However, it is pretty expensive for a paperback (100+ EUR IIRC) and I am not sure I will be able to find it (it is a rather small low quality edit...

I have not read Olivier's book. can you recommend it? I have Steinberg's but I have not yet the opportunity to start with it. I have read Hurd's and, in my opinion, it is not worth. It does not provide anything you cannot find in other places is too one sided nad lacks perspective to say the least. ...

It is certain that the fact that a problem exists does not imply that a feasible solution can be found. However, what I do believe matters in this case is not the length of coast but the economy. Germany was at the end of the XIX and beginning of XX centuries a rapidly expandig economy (with a growt...

I do believe that the idea of the HSF as a "luxury fleet" is accepted too easily (yes, I read Holger Herwig's book but found it lacking of hard evidence and weak on many areas. A much better book is Rolf Hobson's "Imperialism at Sea"). Most of the arguments used for this can be a...

Re: España

I am writing a paper (in English) on the España class BB together with a couple of friends. It took me two years of investigations and I have quite a lot of unpublished or not well known material, but finally it is very close to completion now! A first version of this work (in Russian, as one of the...
