Re: Obama´s mosque

We need an adult in the White House.
You rather must say that you "need a human" in the WH.

Re: Bismarck and Tirpitz meeting Vanguard and KGV

The only quibble I might have would be how much of an advantge long range fire would represent. Look at this! If the argument would have included the USN carrier escorts of the Iowa Class then the long range gunnery would have been the solid rock to argument a USN favorable outcome. But because it ...

Re: H class Battleships

It's an interesting premise on the Kriegmarine side. However I has always thought that the big "what if" is in the Royal Navy side: what if the Washington Treaty would have never been signed allowing ALL navies to get into a arms race. Certainly the RN superbattleships (& battlecruiser...

Re: 3 German battleships in May 1941.

RF: I concur with your observations under the given premises, indeed. It is also known that Stalin was considering to go for a deal with Hitler when Operation Blue seemed unstopable. Hitler has more chances to win than usually acknowledged (certain more than the japanese had, anyway). It is clear, ...

Re: Obama´s mosque

For the sake of the US and the free world a change must happen. It is incredible that a communist muslim is sitting in the same office of Reagan, Teddy and George Washington.

Re: 68th anniversary of Operation Bagration.

RF: Actually I was taking the anniversary date of the start of Operation Barbarossa !!!!!!!!! Yes, I know! I was thinking also that Uncle Joe was clever letting the western allies to hit the beaches first and then hitting Adolf in the gut. However this will blow your mind: Napoleon's invasion of Ru...

Re: Bismarck's 71st anniversary

RF: Herein lies a conundrum. The crew and officers of this ''nazi battleship'' were not the fanatical followers of the Fuehrer that were the Waffen SS, some including Lutjens were of distant Jewish descent and not supporters of the NSDAP ideology. The fact that the ship had swastikas painted on it ...

Re: Bismarck construction flaws

You posted that you were not impressed last time you visited the NJ. Have you decided to give that flawed treaty-limited ship another chance to impress you? The Intrepid is always interesting and is moored alongside a submarine which is also very interesting. I have visited them alone, this time I ...

Re: 68th anniversary of Operation Bagration.

RF: June 22 1944 - what a date to choose for attack! I didn't get it the first time I saw the date. When I posted it I realize the significance. Of course, the real significance is that it came AFTER D Day. Stalin was clever. The real problem for the Heer in the disastrous battles of June/July 1944...
