Anyway, I guess PoW hit on Bismarck's bow is overstimated. I mean, we know the ship could anyway perform her maximum speed during the Denmarck Strait battle, after had received the hit. It is true that speed, later, had to be limited anyway because of the fuel comsumption, but I don't think the brit...

The number of guns are only part of the equation of which ship is most powerful. To serve 140 guns was an enormous job. The 74's and 100's probably out-gunned any 140. I don't understand. Perhaps you can be more specific? On the surface of it, that seems silly, presuming the 140 has a proport...

Re: Naval scenarios
and for the Italians on many situations was even more clear. :( :( :( The most amazing thing regarding Italians High Command is that no one, apart rare examples as Admiral Romeo Bernotti, had the honesty to recognize the responsability of the highers level of the supreme command, the so called Supe...

Not necessarily. The Iowas for example, had twin rudders and were very handy. The Fletcher class DD turning radius was actually GREATER than that of the BBs. But manuverability was probably the worst characteristic of the Fletchers. But they also had four screw and 212.000 HP of engine power.I didn...

Hello Bob, I did not Xerox Antonio’s map on a commercial printer as suggested. I scanned the key portion of the map with my Epson Perfection 3170 Photo Scanner and I enlarged the area about 4 x using my Photoshop 7 software. Well, I'm not a specialist, and if I commited any mistake in my reasoning I...

The only problem that I have with your map is the separation between the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen at 0556, which you increased to 2343 yards from your earlier version showing only 1275 yards. May be this is due to the fact that the vertical scaling of the map is different from the orizzontal one.Re...
