Re: GHG and the related warnings
Obviously 195° at 4:25 was a typo in the KTB. Should read 295°.

Re: Was the battleship Bismarck really the best of its time?
Herr Nilsson, Do I understand this correct? TS1 transmitter tube 2kw TS6 transmitter tube 8kw. Both could be used with 500Hz PRF or 2000Hz PRF units. "Peilung fein" module could be used with either TS1 or TS6 and both 2000 Hz PRF or 500 Hz PRF. Bismarck used 2000 PRF on all its Seetakt. &...

Re: Poorly trained AA crews on Bismarck?
... The Kriegsmarine had lost quite a few ships by May 1941, there must have been a few experienced hands (survivors) drafted to Bismarck surely? ... IIRC a lot of Bismarck's crew were from ships lost during the Norway campaign. Von Müllenheim-Rechberg was first officer of "Erich Giese", ...

All of them. I addition to these dates there was at least one more while anchored at Pillau-roadstead on March 25th for heavy Flak.
Edit: I stand corrected, March 25th was also at sea.

Re: Poorly trained AA crews on Bismarck?
... In reality, Bismarck was, in Lindemann’s own evaulation, ready in all respects for a peace time cruise. The rush by the naval high command to get Bismarck into action had caused problems that limited Bismarck’s effectiveness. Actually: "The state of training that has been reached compares ...

Re: Was the battleship Bismarck really the best of its time?
Try PG33572. It contains most of the allotment from 1939 to 1941. However, there are several snipets in other Rolls.
AFAIK TS4 was meter wave and used for Flum. TS1 and TS6 were decimeter wave.
