Did the 16" round that ended up in Jean Barts (fortunatly empty) secondary magazine go high order? Didn't at least one other round get into what would have been vital areas had she been at sea? Of the five shells that hit Jean Bart, two, perhaps three, failed to explode. The two that exploded ...

The only case of shell interchangability i know is for the french AA 127mm mod 1948. These gun were french-designed but took the advantage of the availability of the US Ammunition.
