Portholes bow and stern

Re: Portholes bow and stern
I don't think I've ever known of a porthole in armor plate. The ones I have seen were in unarmored parts of the ship. I think US ships had all hull portholes plated over when they had a yard availability because of the flooding hazard. I believe all wooden furnishings were also removed to reduce fire danger.

No probs though.
EDIT: sorry, wrong end of the stick this post. Feel free to continue.

I was never suggesting Bismarck had portholes along the citadel section.Bismarck had a few portholes each side at the bow and stern, outwith the armour belt.
No probs though.

I think someone suggested that the twins had portals in the citadel. Conversations do tend to wander a bit around here.
Re: Portholes bow and stern
The Twins lacked a substantial upper belt.
