Book, Killing the Bismarck

Post by paul.mercer »

Gentlemen,
Anyone read a newish book 'Killing the Bismarck' by Ian Ballantyne?
I'm halfway through it and it seems to be quite interesting, he claims that he left out quite a bit of the final battle in his earlier book on the Rodney, so I will have to wait and see if thats true.
One thing I found rather disturbing, after Hood was sunk he says that the RN were keen to avenge the MURDER of their shipmates, I'm not sure that this is an appropriate choice of words as I really do not think that a straight battle between equal opponants in wartime could be classed as such.
What do you think?
