As an example of modern hollywood and it's appreciation to true detail and over indulgence of special effects...

I loved 300 Spartans.......300 not so much :D

Hollywood has been notorious for decades about abject butchery of history. It wouldn't be so bad if so many people didn't believe it was in fact history because they saw it in a movie.

Kinda like the Trojan War or Arthurian Romance--it has very little to do with what actually went down, but can be fun if you are in the right mood. Usually I get irritated, because usually there is no rational reason for them to change everything.

But I could deal with that. I could deal with Otto Skorzeny on the bridge screaming at Lutjens & Lindemann to get the lead out, if there was good action footage of a realistic Bismarck
