Bismarck length

Post by spicmart »

Some sources state the lentgh of Tirpitz as 253,5 m compared to Bismarck's 251 m apparently because of the more pronounced clipper bow. Bismarck had its atlantic bow added to the hull afterwards.
But 2,50 meter seem a bit much. Does anybody know more?

This is hardly a difference. I always had the impression that Tirpitz' bow was more pointed so it should have been longer, wasn't it?
