Aside from that, of course, man.
What about the Patagonia?
No, cool, need some good info on Iceland.

Re: About Iceland
My older brother visited there last year, found it pretty easy to get around. He said most of the people living in urban areas had a pretty good understanding of English, less so in the country side. Though that's pretty much going to be the same in most countries.

Karl, If the visit is less than ninety days, all you need is a valid passport. However if you have a US passport you will also need a visa.
For permanent settlement, I would imagine more stringent criteria, such as employment, are required. I don't know whether Iceland has diplomatic representation in Costa Rica, but you can try the Icelandic Government websites on the internet, or even E-Mail the Icelandic Embassy in London.

Iceland can get hot on the odd occasion, as it is on the Gulf Stream. Like Britain it can get heatwaves.....marcelo_malara wrote:One would be to use heavy winter clothes!!!

I believe most of the population and roads are located around the capital city, the hinterland is basically icefield with little in the way of people or roads.Kyler wrote:My older brother visited there last year, found it pretty easy to get around. Karl, find ''Icelandic Embassy London'' on google, go to government departments, select Ministry of Foreign Affairs, fill in the questionaire included in FAQ's and hopefully they will tell you what you want to know.RF wrote:......try the Icelandic Government websites on the internet, or even E-Mail the Icelandic Embassy in London.

Re: About Iceland
Thanks guys. I just found that there is an "honorary" consulate in Costa Rica. Maybe worthless. I will try with your option and will write you about my findings.

Its probably unlikely that an unofficial ''consulate'' would deal with immigration matters into Iceland, you would still need to go through official channels. Anyway, good luck in your search.

Re: About Iceland
I already made the queries: there is an agreement that permits a lot of nationalities to go, for at least three months, into Iceland without visa. So, it is good so far.

OK so long as you are not travelling on a US passport, for which I believe a visa would be needed.

No, thanks God I don´t have a US Passport. I would hate people to think Obama is my president.
