Favorite Country You Have Visited?

Post by Kyler »

Since this sight its full of a pretty large group of international posters. What is everyone's favorite country they have ever visited?

Personally, I have a difficult time choosing but my two favorite are Switzerland & Greece.

I have been to France and Spain, but neither of these are really my favourites. Countries I would like to visit but haven't yet been to include the US and Canada.

Come to Costa Rica, you will love it. Never to Trinidad, never!

My overseas travel has been limited to military visits without much tourism, but I found them all fascinating. The nicest people I encountered were in Australia, but some of the others were close.

According to the UN "quality of life" index published a bit ago Norway is the best country to live in followed by Australia and Iceland. So that means that Bgile´s affirmation and my quest are both correct.

Good!

Santorini: big volcano. Big eruption. Some people attributtes to that eruption a tsunami that killed the Egyptian army hunting down Moses.

You lucky devil Kyler, I'd LOVE to go to Santorini one day.
Sicily, Hawaii, Tahiti and Norway too.

Out of the places I have BEEN to

Lanzarote
Tenerife
Majorca
(Toronto) Canada.

Niagara falls (only just over an hours ride from Toronto) in Canada was awesome as was the ride through the mountains and the boat trip down the coast to Puerto Soller in Majorca.
Its a Toss up between those two!

I lived in Mallorca for 10 years as a boy. :D
Did you know Soller was a submarine base many years ago?

Santorini is a fantastic place, I would definately recommend it to anyone. The volcano is massive. Most people on the main island live in villiges on the cliff of the volcano. Depending on the village it is some 1,100 to 1,700ft above ocean. The volcano's dome is neat site and has a number of mud baths used by tourists. You can also go and visit a Minoian city buried during the eruption. I did't get to visit it because it was closed when I was on my honeymoon. Here are some of my pictures on the island from the town of Oia & Thira.

Kyler,

With all due respect: I hate you.

I can tell you something that you will thank to me: never, ever, come to Trinidad and Tobago: it´s a dreadfull place. You lost nothing here, so don´t come.

Karl,

You not the only one, I am pretty fortunate being only 27 and having visited as many different places as I have. I have had family visit Costa Rica and talk about how wonderful it is. It's definately on my list to visit in the future.
