we've often lived through difficult times in the past and survived even if the Scots b... off and do their own thing, it would be a greater loss to them then to us, especially if they have to join the failing Euro.
Lets get on and trigger article 50 and get out!
I wouldn't be too concerned about the Scots wanting to leave the UK -simply more ''remain'' scaremongering.
Look at a few figures.
More Scots voted to remain in the UK than voted to remain in the EU - the Scottish independence referendum had a higher turnout of voters.
Over 1 million Scots voted to leave the EU, some 38% of the total Scottish vote. Some 36% of Scottish National Party voters voted for ''leave,'' in spite of the entire SNP leadership and Westminster MP's all vociferously supporting ''remain.''
There can't be another Scottish independence referendum without the consent of HM Government - and the new Prime Minister has said there won't be one.
The leadership of the SNP are opportunists and career seekers. Before Alex Salmond came along the SNP was hostile to the EEC and many SNP voters still reflect that.
So Scotland will leave the EU when the rest of the UK does regardless of whatever piffle the Scottish First Minister says..
With respect to Article 50 - when if ever will it be activated? A UKIP Government would simply repeal the European Communities Act of 1972, so Article 50 becomes a mere technicality. If HM Government wanted to Britain could leave the EU today by scrapping the 1972 Act.
