As the thread became joking, here is my addition.
Even american BBs had flimsy armour, as anybody knows they had the best damage control partys in the miky way, so they were able to patch any hole in their ships, imedately after any holing event happens; and of course, before any water flows in.

The first ship to get shells on target would probably win. The German Bismark class was very accurate with their big guns. The problem with this French design was that the 15 inch guns in the quad mounts were grouped in pairs of 2, and as such were too close together. This created what is known as interference, which in turn dimished accuracy. If you read up on it, you will find that this was a known problem with the french quad-15 gun mountings that were installed on these ships during WWII. My estimate is that the Germans are on target first-and-most in this fight, and that in the end the French go down.
