Sad to say, but two lives have been lost--the captain and Claudene Christian, a descendent of Fletcher Christian.
Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
They stood and Earth's foundations stay;
What God abandoned these defended;
And saved the sum of things for pay.

Re: Hurricane Sandy claims HMS Bounty
yes, I read that in the news.
I thought the ship was actually larger, but I just checked stats and it was just 215 tons. It was apparently hit by a giant wave.

So this isn't the actual ship commanded by William Bligh?José M. Rico wrote:The ship was built for the 1962 film version of "Mutiny on the Bounty," starring Marlon Brando, and appeared in the 2006 blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
