I should add that even Yamato carried helm signals of the same type as the British.

Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
They stood and Earth's foundations stay;
What God abandoned these defended;
And saved the sum of things for pay.

Hi everyone, Im a model builder for a huge model company in the US.
At the moment Im building a WWI American Subchaser and researching on line, I found this very old picture of this mentioned cone.
Right away I was woundering what the cone was for and I found the answer on this forum, Thank You guys.
Im trying to post the picture but dont know how, maybe some other member could help me out.

"Red on the right, returning." Still used today.
