Torpedo Boat Steel?

Post by Paul L »

Groners volumes on the German navy refer to the use of Torpedo boat steel on many escorts right up to and including Torpedo boat 1923 and Torpedo boat 1924 designs. Does any one know the mechanical properties of this type of steel?

Can't help, I'm afraid, but a bit of googling shows that at some point in the past a similar question was asked by Peter K. on forum-marinearchiv.de; he's a mod there and still active according to his profile so you could always try asking whether he ever found an answer.

Have you tried looking at Groners' info sources?
