Hello everybody,

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impresa_di_Premuda

100 years ago Luigi Rizzo sunk the Svent Istvan on the Adriatic sea.

One of the most decorated sailors even at sea, ... surely the one that with the smallest vessel, ... a M.A.S., ... sunk not only one, ... but 2 battleships.

Bye Antonio :D

I have just read again the very good book edited by the USMM (Ufficio Storico Marina Militare) about this very special officer: Fabio Andriola (author) "Luigi Rizzo" (title).

If Premuda and Trieste were his most celebrated victories, his life is full of episodes that outlines his bravery, nobility and altruism (e.g. what he did and suffered after the armistice during WWII and even after he was back in Italy ...). Unfortunately I think the book is not yet translated in English and is available only in Italian..... :(

Bye, Alberto
