Argentine Invasion of Falklands in 1982

Post by DAVID1962 »

Hi, On the 2nd of April 1982 a detachment of Royal Marines say they knocked out an Argentine LVTP-7 on Davis Street in Port Stanley. The Argentines deny this (not surprisingly) but does anybody know of any eyewitness testimony or photographic evidence?

There were several accounts published around the few weeks afterwards, after the Royal Marines were released by the Argentines and repatriated to Britain. There are also accounts published by Rex Hunt (the Governor of the islands) and Max Hastings.
