I believe this weapon was built in Canada for the British Admiralty during WWII.

Great photo, even when magnified. It appears to be a quadruple 2pdr pom-pom mount Mk7p. See Campbell's "Naval Weapons of World War Two" for a corresponding diagram.

Very common weapons on destroyers and other warships where "full-size" 8-bbl pom pom mountings could not be accomodated space-wise, weight-wise, or both.

A
hangar is designed to shelter and service aircraft.
A hanger is not.
