Fischer-Tropsch Archive

Post by Ulrich Rudofsky »

Texas A&M University is obviously interested in oil. The Fischer-Tropsch Archive has some interesting literature on the German fuel problems during WW2. By 1943, 75% of fuel oils and gasoline had to be made from coal! Many of the original patent application and US War Department investigative reports are there. The archive of over 100,000 pages was digitized and a large amount is accessible online.

PS: to you non-chemists: (Franz Josef) Emil Fischer was a prodigious chemist in the Golden Age of Chemistry that thrived in Germany.
