Every Christmas I get gift cards to Amazon or Barnes & Noble which I promptly spend on new books.
I got another Barnes & Noble card this year so I was looking at book comparing prices on Amazon because
sometimes B&N will rip you off. I was stunned when I found some of my books that are longer in print
for sale by individual sellers for outrageous prices. I know many members of this forum are avid collectors
of technical and history books on different military topics. I understand books no longer in print being
worth more, but each book is being sold for ridiculously more than they could be originally bought for.
Both are part of Yefim Gordon's Famous Russian Aircraft Series
The MiG-31 I bought over a year ago on Amazon for like $35.00 is being sold for $723.00!

The Su-27 I received as a gift 2 years ago it cost around $70 is being sold for $500.00!

Is this common or these individual sellers setting their sights way to high in those asking prices?
Don't get me wrong both books are excellent reads if you interested in either aircraft they are probably
the most comprehensive works about either aircraft ever printed but to ask 20 times the original
cost is just crazy to me.

Such high prices are only sustainable if there are buyers.
