DK Brown & "Nelson to Vanguard" -- Is it any g

Post by marty1 »

So I am in the process of reading "Grand Fleet: Warship Design and Development 1906-1922" by D. K. Brown. The book is enjoyable for me. I was considering buying another of Brown's books:

"Nelson to Vanguard: Warship Design 1923-1945 (Chatham Pictorial Series)".

However I thought I would ask for opinions and peoples reaction to the book before shelling out any cash. So is "Nelson to Vanguard" worth the expenditure?

I have too The Grand Fleet and the previous volume, Warrior to Dreadnought. They are wonderfull volumes, with damage analysis, and focused in battleships. I noticed that the following volume, Nelson to Vanguard, is not divided chronologically but by ship type, and the chapter of battleships has only 14 pages. So I decided not to buy it (I am a battleship fun).
