Yeah but he changed a few words in each sentence, so I can't see it being plagiarized. Can't own an idea unless you patented it and you certainly can't own an fact. Those we all pilfer from what ever source we get them from , and use them on our posts etc.

If the work has no notations of where the info came from , then its just another poorly written history.....

Hello everybody,

lets have some relax time, ... since this is better than the Bismarck DS reversed photo story that was supported time ago by same persons ...

What do you notice on these 3 photos ? Let's see how many of you know the Bismarck better than this author.

There is of course a time limit, if after 3 minutes you do not find the 3 errors, you loose and need to study Bismarck better ...

Error 1 ( 1+1 ) is :
Error 2 ( 1+1) is :
Error 3 is :

Well it is clear that photo 3 is the same as photo 1 but printed in reverse as it shows the port side of the ship - with the stern anchor plainly visible. Photo 2 is also printed in reverse since there is no stern anchor visible - hence it shows the starboard side.

Hello everybody,

@ Paul Cadogan,

congratulation my friend, you got them all right

Error 1 ( 1+1 ) is : Photo 2 shows the starboard side of Bismarck being without the stern anchor. The photo is printed mirrored.
Error 2 ( 1+1 ) is : Photo 3 shows the port side of Bismarck being with the stern anchor. The photo is printed mirrored.
Error 3 is : Photo 1 and photo 3 are the same photo, showing Bismarck port side. Photo 1 is printed correctly, photo 3 is mirrored.

I am not so surprised about it, since the author was used to do mirrored stuffs with Denmark Strait battle photos for R. Winklareth books as well as drawings with Bismarck received hits from PoW, all of them mirrored.

That was not all for mirrored stuffs, ... more on Tirpitz soon ...

Get ready for other questions now, ... there is a lot to play with here in and have fun ...

Bye Antonio :D

Hello everybody,

next question for you all will be : what problem do you see with 2 out of 3 of these well known photos ?

Again, if within 3 minutes you do not find the solution, you need to read again my December 2005 Denmark Strait battle article, ironically copied ( plagiarized ) on this book but obviously not understood completely by the author as far as we can all realize now.

Hello everybody,

ah,ah,ah,ah,ah,ah .... I knew Paul would have been shocked about it ....

YES, after having seen above that the author has problems with the port and starboard sides of Bismarck, with mirroring the photos and do not realize they are the same and just reversed, ... we can see now he does have problems with left and right too, .... as it is so evident.

@ RNfanDan,

Dan, Paul is laughing with good reasons since those photos have been argument of discussion for years on all naval forums about Denmark Strait that you can think about, here and on the old HMS Hood forum, ... everywhere. The Baron and F.O. Busch correctly captioned them on their books years ago, and they were there.

Not only that, Paul himself did a fantastic work on graphic to expain in full details the photos after my article and battle map was published on 2005.
On Paul's work you can follow the evolution of those photos viewed from Prinz Eugen, here it is :

http://hmshood.com/history/denmarkstrait/cadogan.htm

So it should have been almost impossible to fail the captioning of those photos for an average competent person writing a Bismarck book.
The author succeded on doing it too, and after the Bismarck colour photos mirroring we have also confusion with left and right.

Despite the plagiarized text and maps, both explaining correctly the events, the author demonstrates both not being out of his work since he failed the correct captioning of those photos, confirming that those 3 things are not out of the same brain. Not only that, he confirms he has not understood what happened at all.

In summary, on top photo Nh69724 Hood is on the right and PoW on the left, it is evident on the photo and we know Hood exploded while was leading the formation.
On photo Nh 69731, PoW had circled around Hood wreckage and was leaving the battlefield, so moved from the left to the right compared to the Hood sinking place as obvious when viewed from Prinz Eugen, in fact on the photo you can see Bismarck shells falling close to her emitting a smoke screen. Hood smoke pillar is on the left of PoW. So the photo shows PoW on the right and Hood on the left, ... but it is NOT what the caption says, ... since it tells us just the opposite
Same story and same error on the photo Nh 69725 down below, ... left and right total confusion, ... Hood pillar is on the left and PoW smoke screen is on the right  .

Copy plagiarizing a text, merge it with a map that you never drew, and add photos captioning an event you have not understood is not an easy job.

In fact it resulted into a miserable and ridicolous failure, despite all the information was available for years.

But it is not all, ... more to come even more incredible ...

Bye Antonio :D

My apology for having made you explain it needlessly, Antonio. Due to a technical issue, I could not see the entire image field in left-to-right view.

Problem now solved, everything makes sense, and yes--Paul did a very good job when he created his enhanced MSP graphic many months ago.

This particular fire was extinguished LONG ago and yes, I was there, and at those many other "fires", too.

Amazing.
