Hello everybody,
ah,ah,ah,ah,ah,ah .... I knew Paul would have been shocked about it ....
YES, after having seen above that the author has problems with the port and starboard sides of Bismarck, with mirroring the photos and do not realize they are the same and just reversed, ... we can see now he does have problems with left and right too, .... as it is so evident.
@ RNfanDan,
Dan, Paul is laughing with good reasons since those photos have been argument of discussion for years on all naval forums about Denmark Strait that you can think about, here and on the old HMS Hood forum, ... everywhere. The Baron and F.O. Busch correctly captioned them on their books years ago, and they were there.
Not only that, Paul himself did a fantastic work on graphic to expain in full details the photos after my article and battle map was published on 2005.
On Paul's work you can follow the evolution of those photos viewed from Prinz Eugen, here it is :

So it should have been almost impossible to fail the captioning of those photos for an average competent person writing a Bismarck book.
The author succeded on doing it too, and after the Bismarck colour photos mirroring we have also confusion with left and right.
Despite the plagiarized text and maps, both explaining correctly the events, the author demonstrates both not being out of his work since he failed the correct captioning of those photos, confirming that those 3 things are not out of the same brain. Not only that, he confirms he has not understood what happened at all.
In summary, on top photo Nh69724 Hood is on the right and PoW on the left, it is evident on the photo and we know Hood exploded while was leading the formation.
On photo Nh 69731, PoW had circled around Hood wreckage and was leaving the battlefield, so moved from the left to the right compared to the Hood sinking place as obvious when viewed from Prinz Eugen, in fact on the photo you can see Bismarck shells falling close to her emitting a smoke screen. Hood smoke pillar is on the left of PoW. So the photo shows PoW on the right and Hood on the left, ... but it is NOT what the caption says, ... since it tells us just the opposite
Same story and same error on the photo Nh 69725 down below, ... left and right total confusion, ... Hood pillar is on the left and PoW smoke screen is on the right
.
Copy plagiarizing a text, merge it with a map that you never drew, and add photos captioning an event you have not understood is not an easy job.
In fact it resulted into a miserable and ridicolous failure, despite all the information was available for years.
But it is not all, ... more to come even more incredible ...
Bye Antonio
