2011: Jutland movie!

Post by Karl Heidenreich »

Fellows,

This could be good, stupendous news: a british producer is going to shoot a movie of Jutland 1916. Is in various internet sites:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1436576/

If this is real will be really great.

Best regards,

Karl

It might be good, it might be bad, I would want to see the angle taken in this film.

Also I hope to god they make James Cameron a producer for this movie cause he is probably the only guy who really pull this movie off, especially if they plan on producing full size replicas for production.

That depends on who makes the film, which is why I asked about the angle that the film would take.

James Cameron will have Leonardo Di Caprio yelling "I´m the King of the World" on the bow of HMS Indefatigable seconds before it is blown. While flying to piece a "voice in off" will tell us "von der Tann" was the Death Star of it´s time... (or Seydlitz or Derrflinger or whatever...)

I remember James Cameron first movie ever, he was an unknown and I believe I have 13 years old: Xenogenesis. Quite bad. Then he did Piranhas II and somehow he got his way with the Terminator: cool good movie.
The Abyss was pretty strange, and similar to a Michael Crichton book (with a movie, also). Titanic is cool, whatosever.

I think that both of them, Aliens and Terminator are his best two films so far. Titanic is great because of the SFX and the vessel but that was it, the plot was rather boring.

It seems that the Titanic breaking in two theory from the film is accurate regarding that it actually happen but not in the way it happened. It seems that it broke in a different, less dramatical, way.

I just realized that the Terminator and Alien series were remarkable for being IMO two of the very first movies in which women were believable in an action hero type role. Prior to that they tried but weren't believable. Since then there have been a number of others, but I think of those as the first.

Bgile, agreed! And I must admit that Sigourney Weaver's "armor" at the end of the Alien movie appropriately emphasized her strength of character!
