Here is my reasoning:
The ships of the Brooklyn class were all commissioned prior to 1940. The ship in the film is commissioned in 1942.
Only the last two Brooklyns had 5"/38 twin mounts, and they only had four; two on each side. The one in the film had the Cleveland class' six twin 5"/38 mounts.
The Brooklyns had five 6" turrets and the one in the film has only four.
