Early dodumentary on sinking the Bismarck?

Post by RonJohn »

Hi,

Well before the 1996, I know that I'd seen a b/w documentary on sinking the Bismarck and also that it's not the 1960 Dana Andrews movie. However, Google, Wikipedia and imdb are no help.

Am I delusional?

TIA,
Ron

Maybe National Geographic's Search for Battleship Bismarck.

Thanks, but that's a color, American show. The one I'm thinking of was b/w and British.

I think that I might know the film you are alluding to, though I cannot recall its title. I have seen excerpts of it posted on You Tube quite a long while ago.

This particular film is suspect, as it contains some basic inaccuracies, including the statement that Bismarck had five inch guns instead of the actual fifteen inch....
