Rigging

Post by Bluemill »

I've got nine books on the Bismarck and I found that I got the best ideas for rigging looking at the jacket painting for Battleship Bismarck - a survivor's story, by the Baron Von Mulenheim-Rechburg. My edition was one of the earlier ones, from the US Naval Institute Press.

Also the new book, well from 2006, the Anatomy of the Bismarck has got some details on rigging as well.

I think you have to choose what look you want to accentuate, because if you tried to do it all up there it might end up looking like a spyder's web!

Best,

"Bismarck, massive and elegant, with the high flare of her bows and majestic sweep of her lines, her ease and arrogance in the water, was then the most graceful, most powerful warship yet built."
