WHITE ENSIGN PE KIT

Post by gleason »

Quick question for the group:

Has anyone worked with any of the following WHITE ENSIGN PE KIT 'S
for the Bismarck:

Upper Superstructure Deck Plates Kit

Ultimate Photo Etch Set

Kriegsmarine Flak Mountings

How do they compare to the GMM or Tom's Model kits??

Thanks.

Just a quick note:

The ModelWarships.com website:
http://www.shipmodels.info/mwphpBB2/index.php

There is an excellant thread on the Bismarck WEM PE sets in:

Calling all >>insert ship name here<< fans

Look for the Bismarck section.

I can only say with regards to the WEM sets (I got a 4 set for extra portholes and doors) that these sets are comprehensive (but a bit expensive) :ok:.
You will need a good understanding of the ship and the use of photo-etched parts to get the maximum out of them.
The other two sets are in use on kits at the usual sites so you can get a perspective on what’s what (the WEM’s are ahead by about 80-90% of the PE if I could make that comment only in relation to finished presentation).
