I just look for it in Google: a lot of references and links. It looks quite nice kit. Incredible that no one had brought this subject before in a Bismarck oriented site...

I got mine already. If I compere it to the Tamiya one. MMMM. I would said the revell will be a lot more difficult to build, but also a lot more detailed. TOO MANY pieces on it as is the case in all Trumpeter kits (and Revell). I mean for example they make you to build a "room" with 4 separated pieces (the walls). Tamiya has just one piece for it, the entery room and that is good for me.

The Hull is two pieces as well and then the proppeler system is also separated from the hull.

But, over all if someone takes the challange and do the job well, I think it is a beatiful kit of the Bismarck a lot better that the Tamiya.

The main deck however comes in one single piece unlike the three parts of the Tamiya model.

Just received my 1/350 Revell model. It looks very, but very nice. The hull is very detailed, more than the Tamiya and Academy ones, so the rudders. There are railings (as in Heller´s) and the overall model looks "researched". The fake waves and baltic camouflage cames as decals with flags and the such (Tamiya only brought a paper flag and that´s it) but no swastika (I imagine that it´s because in Germany is against the law) for aerial recon. There are many other details that other models lack.

I´ll not build right away. First I´ll finish my 1/350 Admiral Kuznetzov from Trumpeter (which seems to be an incredible model also).

Best regards...

I am glad that you like it (the Bismarck).

Do you have any of your models in display here? I would like to see them.

Jose Rico had some of them almost a year ago. I don´t know if the link still exists. If not I send you a PM.
