Replacement for AA guns in KM kits

Post by rea00cy »

I'm building several KM kits (1/350 or 1/400 scales) and I will like to upgrade the AA guns with some aftermarket products (resin, PE, white metal). I would greatly appreciate any information from you about this subject.

Thanks,

There is a models section of this forum you might get more knowledgeable responses there. I've seen a fair amount of discussion of this sort of thing over on the ijn boards as well although you'd want to either ask it in more general terms or ask on the everything board there. Here's a link:

It's got to be BMK for me.
White Ensign Models supply them in the U.K I'm not sure who else does though.

WEM does the light AA guns in PE (both scales) and I believe Niko models have resin replacements for the 105mm AA guns and 150mm secondary guns.

As for metal barrels, you have B&D barrels, BMK, JSC (paper model company that also makes barrels in 1/400) and maybe others.

Good luck

Thank you all, guys!:

I made a search following your recommendations and I appears that WEM light AA guns are the best choice available in the market today.
I'll make orders for these products (both scales I've mentioned above) to continue building my models.

Regads,

Jorge M
