Guys,

Seems you're unaware of this....

A Ukrainian company - Master Box - is planning to release a series of WW1 vessels in 1/700 (sorry Karl!) beginning in mid-2010. And they will NOT be resin.......Injection-molded plastic my friends!!

They'll be starting with the German battleships Konig, Grosser Kurfurst, Kronprinz and Markgraf and the British mother of them all .....HMS Dreadnought!!

They plan to do more Jutland ships too..so maybe we can look forward to the likes of Seydlitz, Derfflinger (what a beauty!!), Von der Tann, Lion (yes!!), Tiger, Invincible, Indefatigable, Iron Duke etc. etc. etc.!

Hi Peppe,

Welcome to the forum!

For many of us, resin kits are simply too expensive to build a collection. We sit and wait and hope for kits to appear in plastic. Though nowadays, the prices of plastic kits are getting up there - they are still much more affordable. This is why Master Box's plans have been welcomed so warmly - though it remains to be seen what the quality and accuracy of the kits will be.

But for those who can afford and build in resin, between Combrig, WEM, WSW, NNT, Admiralty Modelworks, Regia Marina and others - a plethora of ship kits from WW1 & 2 are available.
