Either Styrene or sheet metal, or both, probably brass, and copper. I intend to use this hull as a model, but first I am going to use it to make molds, so I can produce Remote Control versions and parts from it. I am also considering copying the parts in resin cast to make The worlds largest 1/72 scale ship kit to sell. I have already started working on plans for a Graf Spee, an HMS Exeter, Ajax, and Achilles in the same scale. but I want to stay focused on this project for the time being. The good thing about some of these ships is that allot of the parts will be the same, IE gun turrets, range finders, catapults, Float planes. so some of the things will be easy to get, or reproduce.

The turret in the pic is to big for the ship, but looks good for scale reference

If You look at the Bismark project on here in 1/100 scale I will be doing the super structure in a similar fashion, except I have to make the pieces fit together like a model would be built. The engineering and planing are just a bit different.

I am putting on a layer of Foil tape to simulate steel armor plates. If i set up the line pattern right it should look interesting.

Ty for the comments. No resin, I will scuff sand the tape with 400 or 600 grit sandpaper and paint it almost like doing auto body on a car. but first I am going to make a latex rubber mold and a mold set with concrete. the silicone will be for resin casting , and or fiberglass. the concrete will be to shape sheet metal for the Remote control hull. I will post pics of this also.

I somehow measured the hull wrong and the top deck is 5 foot 3 inches in scale feet so I am adding more deck board to heighten it to about 7 feet which is about where it should be.

Ty again. After sanding down the first layer of foil tape I didn't quite like the pattern so I started adding a second layer with a new line pattern. It fixed where I had to repair the height issue, and came out looking smoother. I think on the next on though I am going to make the hull baby butt smooth first and then tape in the pattern. It would have saved allot of time. I hav been learning allot about what to do and what not to do on this project though, so that is valuable.
