Fleets of the World in the 1:1200 Scale

My friend John Youngerman (California) has built for himself a one-of-a-kind fleets of the world in the 1:1200 scale (1" = 100' ) http://miniaturemodeling.smugmug.com/Hobbies/35665 .They are built of wood, paper, wire, and things found in bars, e.g., swizzle sticks, tooth picks. The fleet consists of several hundred ships. It has been my good fortune to acquire some of these masterpieces over the years (Bismarck, Prinz Eugen, Scharnhorst, Blücher, Gotland, Z-21, Karlsruhe, Leipzig, Emden I, Hood, Norfolk, etc.). John has also started a new phase of model making; he makes masters for the casting of unusual models:
