A close friend inherited a beautiful model of the Bismarck carved out of cedar and displayed in glass case. The model was made by a German prisoner at the Red Rock, Ontario POW camp and was given to one of the guards. The model is approximately 14" long, very detailed. The name of the artist is not visible but may be on the bottom of the model, it has not been removed from the case, the lines, cables etc are allegedly made of hair. The craftsmanship is exquisite. Whom should he contact to have this item appraised? Where can we find information about similar artifacts?
