NEW Online NAVAL HISTORY ARCHIVE

Post by Ulrich Rudofsky »

NEW DATABASE ONLINE

Dear friends,

I am very proud to inform you, that a new database with

- German landing crafts (MFP, AFP, MNL, MAL)
- German seaplanes
- Ships, operated by the German Airforce
- former German warships still existing and
- an index of the popular magazine THE BELGIAN SHIPLOVER

is now online at http://www.historisches-marinearchiv.de/.

This huge database with thousands of vessels, many pictures and original documents and a few new drawings is the result of a two-years-work done by enthusiastic fellows with the help of some well known researchers. Among the basic literature concerning the individual topics only primary sources like war diaries were used to fill this database.

Of course this project is still in progress and new information, pictures, documents, etc. would be highly appreciated - just contact one of the editors!

... until then, just enjoy it!

Looks great Mr. Rudofsky! My German isn't that great so I have a slight problem...but to anyone who does know fluent Deutsch, should be great.
 oops, just realized I'm like 2 years late...

It is never too late, as they say....... If you need some translations, let me know, but the photos are often self-explanatory. Also take a look at http://www.hnsa.org/sources.htm for US Navy information.
