Accident between norw. home fleet steamer and german vessel

Post by erlhel »

Hi! I wonder if anyone of you have any information about a accident between the norwegian steamer DS Lagatun and a german vessel in the aerea Lofjord - Vaagen, Trondheimsfjord 11. nov. 1945. The german vessel sank, and Lagatun picked up about 30 germans from the vessel.

Not much information seems to be available, the Lagatun was a tiny 10 knot vessel built in 1914. The circumstances described of the collision suggests that the unamed German vessel was probably of the same size thereabouts as the Norwegian ship.
