Whilst reading about the Night at Guadalcanal when the USS San Francisco locked horns with IJNS Hiei on another site, the page made reference to the fact that Japan was trying to repeat the feat of bombarding Henderson field like Kongo and Haruna had done a month previously in what the Japanese called "The night of the battleships".
Does anyone have a link where I can read about the Kongo/Haruna bombardment action please?
