After PoW's sinking at Malaya, there were not required modifications on the rest of the KGV fleet? This is very interesting indeed.

Regards,
This is a very good question.
There have been a number of statements made in this thread listing the various modifications that occurred after DS and after PoW was lost, such as improved ventilation, more splinter protection and there were a few other things such as better prop shaft bearings, etc, but none of these things made the ships faster or inherently improved their gunnery, beyond the normal increases to be expected with better radar systems, with the exception of Anson which had a very advanced 5.25in FC system. Unfortunately, PoW sank largely because of an error in damage control, not because of an inherent flaw in the KGV design.

Weren't there also some modifications to the electrical system given the power loss experienced by PoW which paralysed much of her AA armament and pumps? I recall reading that somewhere.

There were probably a number of minor things, like better circuit breakers and switching gear but even Vanguard had the same basic electrical system.

There are some people in this forum that think that "modifications" or "optimizing" any system in a ship (or plane or car, etc) mean that it will run faster or will fire longer or more accurate, etc. Maybe that COULD be the case but it is not always it.
In many cases, the great majority, these modifications, upgrades or optimizations are to bring better parts, more reliable systems, etc. Not necesarily means that an external change should occur but it is a change that mecanics, maintenance or operators will notice.
One, applied to the KGV class, was the upgrade on the quadruple mounts systems for the turrets. It doesn't mean that the guns should operate different, but will be more reliable.
