USS Lexington powered a city!

Hey folks,

And now for something completely different...

Not sure how many of you are familiar with this, but I just saw this in another forum and thought I'd share it here.

In 1930, the city of Tacoma, Washington suffered severe electrical power problems when drought restricted the functioning the city's hydroelectric plants. After much wrangling, the carrier Lexington was sent by the Navy and for about a month provided electrical power to the city.
