Midway Debris Field

Post by Carl Schwamberger »

Been surfing about for a map (if any is published) of the locations of the debris of the four Japanese carriers. Wanted to try locating those positions in relation to the Japanese records of location during the battle, & particularly when hit.

Anyone aware of anything published with the locations?

Thanks

You could try the RV Petral - Paul Allens organization.

Did not see anything on their web presence. Will end them a message.

I had hoped this had been published somewhere, a bit of legit journalism somewhere.

Hi Carl, what data do you have on the location of the battle?

Just the usual books. Hopefully sufficient for what I'd like to examine. Somewhere in the Japanese archives the logbooks may still exist. I've seen people claim to cite locations from them, so copies of the relevant entries may be available.
