Bismarck feldpost

Post by agard »

Does anyone know about the last opportunity that Bismarck crew had for sending feldpost during Operation Rheinubung? I assume it could have occurred up to and including arrival at port near Bergen. Agard

That was the last land contact, so you would be right. The only other possible opportunity could have been if Lutjens had met a U-boat to hand over the war diary, but that document would have taken precedence given the limited space on U-boats.
