As webmaster, perhaps I could ask a favour, as I believe you may have this information.

What was the position of HMS Victorious as at 9 AM on the morning of 27 May 1941, specifically how far was the ship from the position of Bismarck?

It has been alleged in another thread that HMS Victorious was present at the site of Bismarcks' last battle, apparently in visual contact with the enemy and thus within range of Bismarcks' 15 inch guns, and that on that morning aircraft from HMS Victorious torpedoed and sank Bismarck. It is further alleged that the presence of HMS Victorious was kept secret along with the alleged air strike.

I would appreciate your comments on this.

Hi, I've never heard this, but our WW2 members are getting a little thin on the ground at the moment. We have a reunion coming up soon, I will ask there. I'll see if I can get info straight "from the horse's mouth."
