Re: Was Hitler a British Agent...
Latin America has not performed very well in military history. Mexico for example. However they beat the french and shot an Emperor. What the french did well during WWII was because they were saved, given shelter, equipped and given a new chance by the British and USA. We can say even more of the Po...

Re: Was Hitler a British Agent...
I missed this one.
Nope: Hitler was not a British agent.
And yes:
The french are a bunch of losers since June 18th, 1815 forwards to present day pasing by the Sedan, Maginot and Dien Bien Phu aside their treachery of leaving NATO when they were (questionable) needed.

Re: HMS Hood VS Arleigh Burke-class destroyer (Guns ONLY)
Man, without missiles nor torpedoes the Arleigh Burke is just a tin can. Hood will take some time with her shitty Dreyer table to take it, but when she does one 15" high explosive and the Arleigh Burke is history. Just look to what some camel driver terrorists did to the USS Cole with home made...

Re: Bismarck construction flaws
Weak stern, Not enough armour on the hull, Should have been equipped with more AA guns. The Tirpitz had more of them. Not much you can do about the jammed rudder from the torpedoattack. Not enough armor on the hull? What makes that the rest of battleships with the sole exception of Yamato? More AA ...

Remember that long periods of peace and comfortable democracy tend to pervert society which use to became decadent. As in all things character is the offspring of courage and sacrifice not timidity and well being.

Re: German coastal and rail mounted guns
Ok. The greatest guns ever mounted on rails and used in action were the Schwerer Gustav and the Dora. The Leopold (which is the one I made in 1:35) was a much smaller gun. The Dora: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dora_gun The Leopold: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopold_railway_gun And some other ver...

I think the super gun Dora was used, for it's brief life, without any problem from the allies. But I'm not that sure of it.

Re: German coastal and rail mounted guns
The railway use for superweapons was tried also during the Cold War. In the eighties the MX missiles system was suggested to be mounted in a railway system to be moved from bunker to bunker to decieve soviet targeting.
