As far as I know all WW2 US cruisers had a relatively shallow but comparatively thick armour at the waterline and were intendet to present a 30 degrees target angle.

Thank you I meant max amount of steam produced by the boilers available for propulsion and auxilliaries. I suspect its about 800 tons steam per hour for the complete powerplant at 212,000 SHP +~maybe 150 tons per hour reserve for 254,000 SHP at overload condition the article 2 only mentions the dail...
